The final round in our Summer league amazingly on a beautiful morning no wing and some players even playing in shorts. Some last minute shifts on the league table but Team F, Ronnie Delaney, Martin Cullen, Catherine Hainsworth & Frank Hughes held onto their lead to this years honour. Sunday 5th October
The fourth round in the Summer league overall winner Josie Cahill Net 37, supported by partner Willie Rogers. R/up on the day was Catherine Hainsworth Net 40, with partner Ronnie Delaney. Next weekend Sunday morning will be the final games in this years league.
The Wednesday Scramble was won by Alan Carroll, Bob Ryan and Josie Cahill Next Week Wednesday 8th Oct will see the Scramble moveing to the morning at 10.30am ll welcome.
The 2025 AGM takes place next Sunday morning in St Patricks hall at 10am before the game, nomination for committee in advance.
Sunday 28th Sept
Club Championship Final weekend at the club and what a great tournament with only two strokes separating the top ten players in the final.
The 2025 Club Champion is Catherine Hainsworth with an amazing final round of Net 44 to take the title from R/up Willie Rogers two strokes back. Congratulations to Catherine for also winning the nearest the pin on the evening having pitched to 2 inches of the hole on the 3rd.

Sunday 21st September
The second round of games in the Summer league produced some amazing scores on really nice sunny September Morning.
Congratulations to Pauline O’Mahony on winning her first singles game with Peter Moore in the Summer League with an amazing Net 35, R/up on the Day Frank Hughes net 36. Congratulations to Dermot Rogers with a hole in one on the 2nd.
The 2nd round in the club Championship takes place on Wed 24th Sept Tee 5pm.
The final of the club championship take place next Friday evening 26th Tee 5pm
Sunday 14th September
No Sunday game to day due to the inclement weather persistant rain.
The Walker Cup in Julianstown produced some really good scores on a blustery but dry Friday evening. Two teams tied on G47 with the team of Peter Moore, Fran Fitzpatrick, Grace Griffen Susan Casey taking the prize from R/up Mick Comerford, Eddie Madden and Bernie O’Driscoll. Congratulations to Mick Comerfrord on nearest the pin on the 6th.

Sunday 31st August
Fingal & East Meath Ryder Cup weekend with five clubs competing over 36 holes for the prizes. Teams were made up in pairs one from each club, Rathfeigh, Laytown, Ballyboughal, Ring Common and Bellewstown forming a team of 5pairs to play in a pairs scramble matchplay for the Prizes. A great turnout on the day with really gusting winds from the West where rain was expected but thankfully stayed dry for the two rounds. Many thanks to the Fingal Co Co Sports Dept for ther help in organising the competition through their sports development officer Caitriona Gerathy and special thanks to the Mayor of Fingal Tom O’Leary who attend and presented the prizes. The Sunmmer league started this week and full set of results are on the Summer league page on our website. Players play in a pairs scramble format and it produced some amazing scores.
This weeks winner Nick Savage Net 39[ob9], R/up Alison Rigley. Nearest the pin on the day on the 7th was David Weldon, with congratulations to Brian Delaney with a Hole in One on the 8th. Well done to all the ccompeditors on the day the second round of matches take place next week.

Congratulations to the Swords Women Shed ladies who had an outing to Laytown on Friday 7th Aug. Excellent scores on the day with the winning team of Bernie O’Driscoll, Susan Casey, Marie Keane and Cathy McGowan putting in a level par score. The runner up placings were only one stroke back well done girls.

Weekly singles winner with a fantastic G46 net 42 Peter Moore, R/up a man hitting form Alan Carroll net 46. No Golden ball winner as there was at least five players with the draw being the 1st hole.

Well done to our club team in winning two of the games in the opening round of the Fingal & East Meath Club Championship which kicked off in Ballyboughal on Wednesday 23rd. The next game is in Ring Common on Monday next 28th at 7pm

Monday 14th July
The Bartle Maxwell Memorial Shield Gents competition was played on a blusterly windy evening in very good sunshine. Congratulations to First time Major winner David Weldon with a great score of Net 43. R/up {ob9] Best Gross went to Ronnie Delaney just edging out Robbie Moore who took hom the very difficult Nearest the pin on the 4th.

The final of the Peggy & Charlie Moore Shields took place on a gorges sunny Friday evening 13th June after nearly 12hrs of rain the day before. The competition organised by Robbie & Peter Moore in memory of their dear parents was very well supported by both players and sponsers of the great array of prizes.
Winner of the Peggy Moore Shield Anne Comerford after have two fantastic scores to give her overall Net 87, R/up Alison Rigley net 97 and Third place went to Josie Cahill Net 101.
Winner of the Charlie Moore Shield after a closing round of G46 was Brian Walsh Net 86, R/up Mick Comerford net 95[ob9] and third place Noel Dunne. Well done to all compeditors in this fantastic annual competition, full results are on Notice Board.
